How long is the break between multiple SAT2s in one sitting

My son is planning to take two SAT2 tests on June 7. I know someone whose dd (in another state) who was allowed to take about an hour break between her two SAT2 tests. Yet the testing administrator at my son's testing site claims he can only take the "standardized" 5 or 10 minute break between tests (odd that she didn't even know the amount of time, yes?).

What is the practice elsewhere? Assuming that the SAT2 test time is broken up into three parts, since one could take three SAT2s at one sitting, must students go right on to the next test if they are taking two SAT2 tests, or can they take that middle portion of time off?

Please let me know what happens where you are.

Thanks!

when my kids have taken them, they've just had the standard 5-10 minutes.  Hanging around for an hour was not an option.

Deja, make sure he takes an energy bar or two -- and that he eats one shortly before the first exam and another during the break.  It's a physical conditioning test as much as a mental one.

That's a good idea.  One thing he learned from taking the SAT in January is that there is NO time to go to the bathroom...(that is ridiculous!).  So he knows better than to drink a lot of liquids.

He'll be taking the US History and Bio tests, so I think he'll be okay.  I would be more concerned if he was taking the Math2 test.  He plans to take that in the fall (if he ends up applying to a college that needs it...not sure, but at this point only Cornell appears to need it).

He's mentally tough, so I think he can take these two SAT2 tests one after the other.  Remember, he's a debater who can go from round to round with little to no breaks (and one time he told me'd had nothing to eat for lunch!).

It should be standardized, though, as to whether or not a student can take an hour break between SAT2 tests, or if they need to keep going after the short break.
