I've been trying to get D registered for the December ACT exam all day, and I keep getting a System Temporarily Unavailable message. There's a note on the front page saying that the December registration deadline has been extended to November 16, but I'm getting nervous.
I managed to complete the registration today -- I never got through on the phone line yesterday.
Boy, they really make you answer a lot of questions to get signed up.
I did one weird thing though -- all Colorado public high school juniors take the ACT (without writing) in March in lieu of other standardized tests, and the schools put the ACT scores on the student's official transcript, which I'm not too thrilled about.
D won't be here in the spring -- she's going on exchange to Italy starting in January. I'm not sure if the scores from other dates are also posted on the transcript, so I left her high school listed as the talent search program she participated in back in middle school. I'll check at school after Thanksgiving and find out what the policy is on tests taken on other dates. I don't mind the school seeing the score, but I really don't like the notion of it going on her transcript.
