I just posted about DS retaking the test today. He took it and June and mistakenly gave his sister's SS# I didn't worry about it because I thought he would do better today and we wouldn't use the first scores.
Then I went on the ACT website today and this is what is says:
------
If, after you receive your score report, you find that you made a significant error in supplying information about yourself, or if you want to change your address or replace your ACT ID number with your Social Security number, you may ask us to correct your record. Write to:
ACT Records, P.O. Box 451, Iowa City, IA, 52243-0451, USA
Write within three months of receiving your score report. Enclose a photocopy of your Student Report and describe the error and the necessary change.
-------
So is this first score now unusable since it is past the three month correction date?

| PTM, I just emailed you the counselor hotline number. I'd suggest having your son's counselor call, with him in the room, first thing Monday morning to explain the situation. I have found that the ACT people and the CB people will sometimes do things via the counselor line that they won't do if it's just the student requesting it. Obviously, however, don't delay -- make sure he takes care of this first thing Monday morning.

Thank you for the hotline Carolyn! I gave it and a copy of both kids SS cards to my son to take to the guidance counselor and he spoke to ACT and straightened it out and they gave him a new account.
Whew!

That's very good news. Too bad those ACT scores are in such low digits in general! Translated into an SAT it seems more like the serious jump in scores that it is.
