This is a new book, exploring the admissions process at Hamilton College, and  here's what Inside Higher Ed has to say about it:

Just wanted to say that I did get a hold of the book. It has some interesting parts -- especially about admissions people visiting high schools, and the relationships they establish with counselors (or don't).  But, I felt the section on how decisions were made in committee came up a little short - Gatekeepers is a better choice, I think, if you want to learn more about how admissions people evaluate individual applications. Still, it's a good book overall.
