I recently interviewed Joe Bagnali, Assistant Provost of Enrollment Management at Berea College in Kentucky. For those who aren't familiar with Berea, it's a small liberal arts college that has had a mission of serving low income students - mainly from Appalachia - for over 150 years. Bagnali had some interesting observations on the needs of students from lower income families, and I found his description of how Berea changed his life heart-warming as well.
