Seheea,

In regards to your question about whether Boston College will take the October ACT, my advice would be to email the admissions office there and check directly. While everyone here is pretty knowledgeable, that is the sort of question that you should always ask directly as it will be the most accurate.

There's a great new way to research questions about test scores and other admissions statistics. Go to http://www.ucan-network.org.

The site shows the 25th to 75th percentile for SATs for enrolled freshmen. However, keep in mind that this means that 25% of admitted students scored below the lowest number and 25% scored above the highest number. The low number is not the "minimum" they will accept, although your chances will be best if you are above the 25th percentile.

According to UCAN,  last year, the 25th to 75th percentiles of enrolled freshmen sy BC were:

Math 640-720

Reading 610-700

Writing 610-700

Of course, test scores alone aren't enough for most U.S. schools - they will also look closely at your grades, the courses you have taken, your recommendations, your essays, and many other things.
