Despite what Shakespeare said about laywers, the UC Regents have approved a new law school for the Irvine campus. Its set to open with a small class of 65 in 2009, so any current college frosh might wish to consider it; plans for the school are to add 200+ students in the successive years.
The school will offer a JD degree and master's.

DesperateDad:
It does seem at times that only us Lawyers know the full meaning of Shakesphere's statement.
For those uninitiiated folk, when seeking to overthrow the existing system, the plotters planned as a first step to ensure their plans to seize control would be "to kill all the lawyers"
As one of the guardians of our system of laws, I recognize fully the virtue of that statement, lawyers being a threat to lawbreakers and anarchists of all stripes.
