On the NACAC list serve, a guidance counselor asked about a program called College Learning Experience. Several other counselors chimed in with positive things to say about this program, so I thought I'd pass along the link.
College Learning Experience is designed for students who need extra support transitioning to college. Students live in supervised living arrangements off-campus with input from tutors/advisors/etc. to help them make the transition and succeed. They attend regular classes local colleges in Denver, Austin and Ft. Lauderdale that support the program. According to those familar with the program, it is great for kids who have LD/ADD issues, had rocky high school careers, or who have maturity issues, etc. I've looked over the website, and it does look like an interesting option.
