Had an excellent conversation today with USC head of financial aid.  She was SO nice & friendly & helpful.  She made some excellent suggestions, specifically for my kid.  She said it would be good if we purchase tuition insurance and also meet with the folks & docs at the student health center on campus & also consider getting son a doc off-campus, in case he needs one who has more expertise than the health center can provide.  This way we can brief them all in advance about son's health issues so he doesn't have to explain things over & over & over.

She also confirmed the terms of the merit award son will get for sending in the form designating USC as son's 1st choice school with National Merit & that it will be renewed for 4 years as long as he keeps at least 3.0 GPA.

Now, son will have to fill out housing form & we also have to send in deposit & reservation for orientation.  We're on our way!
