I am wondering how to change the topic screen size. Some topics allow all the text to fit on my screen; others are too wide and inset a scroll bar at the bottom. I'd like for all of them to be configured to fit my screen. Any ideas on how to accomplish this?

Mominva,
What browser are you using? I know that my screen looks very different in AOL than it does in IE.

I am using Firefox. It looks the same as when I was using Internet Explorer, right down to the some threads are wider than others(not sure if they are the same threads, however).

Links don't wrap here, so if someone posts a link that is longer than the allowed page width, you will have to scroll to read the whole reply. The entire topic will appear to be as wide as the link.

Oh, ok, thanks for the explanation WestrnMom. It was beginning to bug me that I had somehow, unwittingly, changed something. I couldn't imagine why it seemed so inconsistant.

WestrnMom, Thank you so much. I am bascially a cyber-idiot, so I appreciate you taking the time to provide the correct answer.

If there is a way you can hide the HTML codes, you can shorten the links so they don't stretch the screen width. It appears this board is not set up that way, though.

Actually, there is a way to do that. If you go under the help button and scroll down to the instructions on how to post, it tells you how to create a hidden link. I can't post them here exactly because that creates a link but it looks something like this, without any of the spaces:

But if I understand it correctly, only the original poster can do this. So I am still stuck with some w i d e topics.
