Just wanted to give AOL users a heads up that there appear to be a few glitches with the AOL browser and the board software. Nothing major, but it appears that this *may* be why some of us get the "white screen" and others don't. I have also noticed a few other little snags,  including slower loading times with my AOL browser. So, if you have the ability to use Internet Explorer or another browser, you might try that and see if it helps.

Ahh! I always get the white screen when trying to find this site. I am an AOL customer. I found a way around it Carolyn, though inconvenient. If I go to your homepage/Blog, and go into your March Blog, you have a link to this site. If I click onto it, I do not get the white page!

Hi Carolyn,

As an AOL user, I find that it seems to have a mind of its own. Sometimes I get the blue/gray background, and sometimes I get the white background. I have noticed, however, that when it loads quickly I get the blue/grey background, and when it loads slowly I get the white background. I am gathering that it has something to do with the traffic on the server, and I am guessing that the extra background colors may take up extra bandwith. Is this possible?

I had tried to do what Northeastmom did-- that is, to access the site through your admissionsadvice.com site. However, for some reason it won't let me log on when I do that. Not sure why, but it was being quite a gatekeeper and keeps me as a visitor only. Hmmmm....

I am also still not getting any auto notifications if someone lposts to a thread I've posted in. Do you know if that may also be an AOL issue?

skibum, Did you try the March issue? I had tried one or 2 other links, but they did not work. I have no problem through the March Blog.

There certainly are! Since AOL's browser acts up with other sites as well, I have Mozilla Firefox installed on my computer and I just use it to come here instead.

I am so sorry that AOL users are having trouble. There is not much I or the mywowbb people can do because this seems to be something that involves the AOL system, not the system this is on. My options are limited --- I can try to find a different forum software and host, but at this point I really don't want to have to start all over again. So, any suggestions are appreciated! If I'd known in advance this was going to be a problem, I might have just stayed with Topica. :)

Again, my apologies for the problem.

Carolyn,

skibum, It is so strange, but the last few weeks I have not had a problem using AOL. Using the link from Carolyn's webpage is the way I was logging on too (I think it was the March edition link).

No problem getting here through internet explorer, but I have had problems with slow loading and getting the white screen when using AOL today.
