Descartes, AA's been pretty busy the past few days, and you're here now. So, at least you have a data point for the other side (i.e., partying while you're present).

Nope, just when parental anxiety was peaking.
I feel bad because I haven't been around the past few days. I've been celebrating acceptances with the kids at my school, and soothing a few wounded egos as well. And, here I missed the biggest day ever on AA!

Carolyn,
Your students are so fortunate to have you. I feel for the "wounded" but know that this time next year, most will be very happy at college. They might even tell you they couldn't imagine being anyplace else.
It sure was great when my son told me he couldn't image being anyplace else during parent's week freshman year.
