Hi Collegehopeful,

First, Welcome! Others here can help you with polishing your application. I'll just say that you sound amazing!

Something you will find on this board is that we tend to be into finding the best "fit" for colleges. I hope you will realize your dream--and your stats are certainly impressive--but it would also be good to find a few less selective schools that will offer you the kind of experiences you want.

Perhaps you could write us more about what you want out of a school, things like size, location, favored major, extra curriculars, and there are lots of folk here who can help you find other schools where you would also be happy.

I'm incredibly impressed that you had a crossword puzzle published........and in a biology journal? That must really be something cool! I watched the doc on the NY Times puzzle and competition. You guys who can create puzzles amaze me.

Good luck!

Location-Preferbaly a relaxed suburb/small city (Palo Altor, Princeton, Claremont, Pittsburgh)

Size- Preferbaly 1200-1600 per class

Favored major-I want to go to med school so I was thinking bio or chem. This is what my activities reflct. However, I realize med school is 4 years of bio and chem. I want to study economics, political science, and history or a combination of those 3 as an undergrad major. I feel they will be useful in being a surgeon as well.

Extra circulars-Sports don't dominate the EC scene. I want a school where partcipation in intramural and club sports is high though. Avaliablity of Researc.

Other Must Have's
Financial aid
Laid Back Student Boy
Grade Inflation

Thanks for your help.

I don't think it matters. My counselors won't allow me to add schools at this point.

Welcome Collegehopeful! I'd need a lot more information to specualate on your chances at Princeton or Stanford. For instance, can you tell us a little bit more about why you earned the Key Club award? What are the 3-5 most important ways you spend your time outside of the classroom? What do you enjoy doing just for fun?

But, more importantly, what is your backup plan if Princeton and Stanford don't come through?

That Key Club awad was earned for doing a certain number of events from a ceratin number of categories such as interclubbing, cancer walks, divisionals.

Outside of school I am into well video games (lol), basketbal, watching sports to things such as learning Hindi and Sanskrit.

If Princeton and Stanford don't come thorugh I like Duke or Upitt Honors.

Thanks for your help!!!
