We are touring Rhode Island School of Design next Wednesday.  The information on parking ( the lack of) has me worried.  Unfamiliar places with lots of one way streets are not my cup of tea.  I would like to avoid a very long walk in this weather...my circulation can't handle it.  I plan to arrive early but does anyone who has been here have  suggestions on parking if I can't get into the very small visitors lot?

Scoop, things may have changed (for better or worse) since I last was there. We almost always parked either on N Main St and walked two or three blocks, or in the neighborhood just east off of N Main after a hunt.

I assume you've checked this page regarding nearby municipal lots (two lots listed):  http://www.risd.edu/museum_parking.cfm .

Here are two more pages with three parking lots listed (could be on other list as well): http://www.gallerynight.info/risdmuseum.html

Thanks, I did copy that information.  I was not sure how far those lots were from the school.   I appreciate you sending the links.
