| Has anyone seen any articles or heard anything about yields for the Class of 2011? I'm just curious about how well the schools estimated yield this year (enquiring minds want to know, etc.).

No! The CDS for 2007 won't be out for another year! I'm wondering the same thing. Does anyone know where to find the information? I'm mostly curious about the schools mine applied to and those that dropped off his list toward the end, so maybe 15 schools.

| Keep an eye on the News/Public Affairs releases for the individual schools of interest over the next few weeks. Many schools release size of class information in press releases as freshmen arrive on campus. Alumni magazines often also have this information.

Should we post any links we find? This is information on Yield at UC Davis
I searched using these terms "Fall 2007" freshman yield and found thousands of links, too many to read. A lot of results like this one: "record-breaking number of freshman applicants"Last edited on Sat Aug 18th, 2007 04:23 am by WestrnMom

I found this article about admissions results at Cornell University: http://cornellsun.com/node/22669
Their yield was 48.5%, down a bit from last year. The article also reports that Dartmouth's yield was 50.4% and Princeton's was 67.6% for this fall's incoming class.

For Reed, this information for 2007 can be calculated from the Common Data Set here: http://www.reed.edu/ir/cds/cds0708/cdssecc200708.html
Applied: 3,365 (TYPO CORRECTED, AS PER CAROLYN'S CATCH BELOW)
Admitted: 1,154
Enrolled: 347
Thus the yield (from early and regular admits combined): 347/1,154=30.0%.
That's about on par with 2006 (30.7%):

and 2005 (29.4%):

Mackinaw, you had a slight typo. According to the link you gave, the number of applications Reed received last year was 3,365, not 2,365. The other numbers you provided were correct.

Thanks, and good catch. I should have recognized that that number was too low (and the implied admit rate too high). This also means that Reed had a 34% admit rate, not 49%.
Ill correct it above, with annotation.
