Here's an article from the Wall Street Journal about how some moms of the class of 2008 are considering taking a leave of absence from working in order to make helping with college applications a priority:
I can't imagine that someone would really DO this, but there you have it. The WSJ, by the way, just delights in finding new ways to spin the "NO ONE IS GETTING INTO COLLEGE!!!!!" hysteria.
This article really made me roll my eyes, teenager-style. I was the opposite - I went back to work to afford college. The college search can take time, but not full-time. That's just asking for overinvolvement.
